Vegetable-arians...

I was writing an email to a new friend on FOTR today and mentioned to her that I am a "Vegetable-arian"... my then-3 yo daughter's name for Vegetarians! I am not a strict Veg-arian - and would probably not be welcomed into some of the clubs :-) - but for the most part, I don't eat meat. I do eat dairy products - practically live on cheese and eggs! I'm allergic to peanuts and sensitive to soy, so many of the products which other Veg-arians can enjoy are off-limits to me. I have no trouble finding things I love to eat, which is evident by the fact that my jeans are just a little snug after being off my feet with the hip-thing recently! lol

Since I was diagnosed with Lupus 14 years ago, I've had several problems with my health, all connected to the Lupus. I've had heart trouble, kidney trouble, arthritis, and (the most recent) liver trouble. Eating a Veg-arian diet makes me feel better, and I just prefer it. It isn't a social issue for me. I just don't like meat!

I know there are many of you out there (and my son could be your king :-) who cannot imagine living life without steak, burgers and chops! And I say go for it, if that is what you want to do. But I will stick with my Vegetable-arianism and we will just all live happily together!

Now... what does this have to do with Homeschooling - solo or otherwise, or RVing, or any of the other things in which I'm interested?? Not a thing. Just felt like writing about it. After all, isn't that the point of having a blog - to write about what we want to when we want to how we want to??!!

Hope everyone has a great day! :-)
